About Deck Sanding and Oiling
DSO is a specialised arm of a niche local refinishing company that specialises in sanding and oiling your deck and other timber assets.
Whilst there are many carpenters that are available to replace boards and re-string a balustrade, we focus solely on the more detailed work of deck sanding, cleaning and oiling so that not only does one restore a home’s hardwood asset back to it’s former gleaming beauty, but we will support you with the up-keep, preserving the timber and your back pocket for years to come. We also provide pressure cleaning services.
After years of working with a range of different sanders and chemicals to strip timber, plus then the various cleaning solutions and of course all the different timber oils (penetrating, layer coatings, paints and otherwise), we have created a system that best fits for each scenario. The team have weighed up the pros and cons of each of the products available.
Today, we provide you with an answer to what is best according to your aim. In some instances it’s about being economical and keeping a decking area alive; in most cases, it’s about what’s the best job we can do for you – in terms of resetting the space and informing you on how to keep it that way. Deck maintenance is all about having the right combination of experience, tools and finishes. Whether we are sanding or cleaning your deck, the deck oil chosen and the rhythm in which we (and often later, you), apply it, is all important.
